The Augusta State Lady Jaguars picked up fifth place in the consolation bracket over
Georgia College and State, 5-4, in the Peach Belt Conference Tournament.
The men’s squad dropped to Francis Marion 5-0, putting them in sixth place overall.
For the women in singles, Nathalia Rodrigues, Fernanda Chiaparini, Bianca Machado and Giovana Fensterseifer all took their matches going 4-2. In doubles, the team of Laura Ferreira/Bianca Machodo won the only match for ASU sealing the win over Georgia College and State 5-4.
For the men, Francis Marion swept the Jags 5-0 picking up the fifth place win and dropping ASU to sixth.
