AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Augusta State men’s and women’s tennis squads opened their 2010 seasons Monday afternoon with a pair of victories over Lees-McRae at Newman Tennis Center.

The 22nd-ranked Lady Jaguars (1-0) took two-of-three doubles matches and four of six singles matches for a 6-3 victory.

The No. 26 ASU men’s squad defeated the No. 15 Bobcats, by the same 6-3 score.

The Jaguars (1-0) host Johnson C. Smith on Wednesday, Feb. 3 at 2:00 p.m., at Newman Tennis Center. Both ASU squads host Mars Hill on Friday, Feb. 5 at noon at Newman Tennis Center.
