Jaguar Duo Snags Regional Honor

AUGUSTA,
Ga. - Augusta State’s Sara DeMuth and Kristen Jones
were recently honored by the National Fastpitch Coaches
Association.
The Jaguar duo was named to the Louisville Slugger/NFCA
All-Southeast Region Team. DeMuth was a first-team
selection, while Jones was named to the second team.

HICKORY, N.C. - Eighth-ranked Lenoir-Rhyne
advanced to the NCAA Super Regionals Sunday morning with
an 8-0 victory over Augusta State in six innings in the
Southeast Regional Championship at Bears Field.
The Bears, who pushed their winning streak to eight
games, improved to 53-7 on the season and set a school
record for victories in a season.
The NCAA Super Regionals are slated to take place on May
21-22 at a site to be determined pending the outcome of
the Dahlonega Regional hosted by North Georgia.

HICKORY, N.C. - The Augusta State University
Softball Team was propelled by strong pitching and a
two-run fifth inning as it eliminates Mars Hill College
in game five of the 2010 NCAA Southeast Championships.
The Lady Jaguars improve to 40-16 on the season and
advance to the Regional Championship on Sunday afternoon
at 11:00 a.m. against the No. 2 seed Lenoir-Rhyne. The
Lady Lions ended their season 29-18 on the year.
