Senior first player in program history to earn honor

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Augusta State’s Jessica Howard has been named to the 2009 Daktronics Volleyball All-America Team, according to a recent announcement from Daktronics, Inc., and CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America).


With the selection, Howard becomes the first player in Jaguar Volleyball history to earn All-America honors and the first Peach Belt Conference student-athlete to be named to the Daktronics-sponsored squad since 2004. (MORE)

 

ASU's Weider, Childress Earn PBC Honors
Volleyball duo tabbed to conference's all-academic team

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Augusta State’s Lindsey Weider and Tarah Childress have been selected to the Peach Belt Conference’s All-Academic Team, according to a recent announcement from the league office.

Weider, a senior from Dacula, Ga., and Childress, a junior from Loveland, Ohio, helped lead ASU to the second-winningest season in school history. The Jaguars won 22 matches and finished in third place in the PBC standings, the Jags’ highest finish in the league since 1995. (MORE)
