Jaguars Earn Tourney's No. 3 Seed
ASU, Lander to square off in PBC Volleyball Championship Friday

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Augusta State will be the No. 3 seed in this weekend’s Peach Belt Conference Volleyball Championship, hosted by USC Aiken on Nov. 13-15 at the Convocation Center in Aiken, S.C.

The Jaguars, in the midst of their second-winningest season in the program’s history, will take on Lander at 8:00 p.m., on Friday, Nov. 13 in the fourth and final match of the opening day of the PBC Tournament.

ASU and the Bearcats split a pair of regular-season matches. Lander picked up a 3-1 win on Sept. 23 in Augusta. Less than two weeks ago, the Jags rallied for a 3-2 victory over the Bearcats on Oct. 28 in Greenwood, S.C.

With a victory over Lander, ASU will match the school record -- first set in 1995 -- for victories in a season with 23. With a win, the Jags will face the winner of No. 2 Armstrong Atlantic State and No. 7 Francis Marion on Saturday evening at 6:00 p.m. The tourney’s championship match is slated for Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m.
