| Lady Jags wrap up preseason schedule against Lady Gamecocks |

COLUMBIA,
S.C. – Augusta State women’s basketball wrapped up its preseason schedule Wednesday night with a
94-38 loss to South Carolina at Colonial Life Arena.
Senior guard Brittany Jarrard and freshman forward Waneta Carlisle led the Lady Jaguars with eight points each.
Senior forward Kirsten Stallings grabbed a team-high five rebounds while senior guard Eboni Davis and freshman
guard Ashley Brown had two assists each.
Valerie Nainima and Kelsey Bone paced the Lady Gamecocks with 18 points each and Charenee Stephens netted 17
points. Bone pulled down 13 rebounds and Nainima handed out seven assists.
South Carolina shot 46 percent from the field and limited the Lady Jags to just 29 percent shooting from the field.
The Lady Gamecocks, who led 47-20 at the half, won the rebounding edge 56-31 and forced 31 ASU turnovers.
On an ASU roster that includes 11 newcomers, 14 different Lady Jags logged floor time and 12 played double-digit
minutes.
The Lady Jags open their regular-season schedule on the road on Wednesday, Nov. 18 when they travel to
Jefferson City, Tenn., to take on Carson-Newman for a 6:00 p.m., tipoff.
