Former Kalamazoo (Mich.) College head coach to take over ASU women's basketball program

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Tes Sobomehin has been appointed the new head coach of the Augusta State women’s basketball program, according to an announcement from ASU Director of Athletics Clint Bryant Tuesday afternoon.

In addition to her coaching duties, she served as an instructor in sports psychology and physical education classes.

“Tes has the ability in all facets of the profession to lead Lady Jaguar basketball to new heights,” Bryant said. “She is an outstanding motivator who will not only bring distinction to the team but to our athletic department and Augusta State University as well.”

Coach Sobomehin was one of 25 coaches selected to participate in the 2006 NCAA Women Coaches Academy in Indianapolis. The academy offered a week of classes, seminars and training on various aspects of coaching and career development. In 2007, she completed the NCAA Women Coaches Academy Dimension 2.
