Keeper Named To All-Region Squad
Freshman standout posted four top-20 finishes for Jags

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Augusta State’s Holly Keeper was named to the NCAA Southeast Region’s All-Region squad on Tuesday.

A freshman from Rifle, Colo., Keeper registered three top-10 and four top-20 finishes in her first season in the Jaguar program.

Keeper made her debut in the Peach Belt Conference pre-conference meet on Sept. 5, taking second place and leading the Jaguars to the team victory.

She posted seventh-place showings at both the PBC Championships and last weekend’s NCAA Regional, as well as a 19th-place effort in the UGA Stampede. (MORE)

WINGATE, N.C. – Augusta State finished in fifth place Saturday morning at the NCAA Southeast Regional cross country meet hosted by Wingate University.
 

The Jaguars were paced by freshman Holly Keeper, who posted a time of 24:00 in the 6K run and finished seventh. Sophomores Savannah Sutton and Angela Woodward were 20th and 24th, respectively, while sophomore Lyndsay Nichols was 70th and senior Sophie Baconnet was 73rd.
 

Freshman Ivori Sneed was 93rd and senior Kara Kreutzer crossed the finish line in 96th position. (MORE)

LUMBERTON, N.C. – Augusta State finished in fifth place Saturday morning in the Peach Belt Conference Championships at Luther Britt Park. The championship was the first of the PBC-GEICO Championship Series and featured the league’s largest field for a cross country championship since 2003.

The Jaguars, the No. 5 team in the NCAA’s Southeast Region rankings, were paced by freshman Holly Keeper, who posted a time of 24:03.68 in the 6K run and finished seventh. (MORE) (Photos)
