MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Augusta State men’s
and women’s cross country squads enjoyed a successful
season opener Friday in a dual meet with Georgia College
& State.
The Lady Jaguars took first place, while the ASU men’s
squad, competing for the first time since 2001, finished
runnerup to Savannah College of Art and Design by just

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Augusta State men’s and
women’s cross country squads open their respective
seasons Friday afternoon when the Jaguars compete in a
dual meet with Georgia College & State in Milledgeville,
Ga.
The Jaguar men’s squad, picked to finish fifth in the
Peach Belt Conference, is in its first season under head
coach Adam Ward after the reinstatement of the men’s
cross country program last summer. The Jags will be
competing for the first time since 2002. (MORE)

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Augusta State women’s cross
country squad has been tabbed fourth in the NCAA
Southeast Region’s preseason poll, according to a recent
release from the USTFCCCA (U.S. Track & Field and Cross
Country Coaches Association).
The Lady Jaguars, who were picked to finish second in
the Peach Belt Conference’s preseason poll, are entering
their seventh season under head coach Adam Ward. (MORE)
