| Three Lady Jaguars close out fall schedule with top-10 efforts |

SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. -- Augusta State posted a 307 Tuesday and took second in the Ross Resorts Invitational at Mid Pines Inn & Golf Club.
The Lady Jaguars finished eight shots back of tournament host Rollins College. The top-ranked team in Division II, the Tars booked a 303 for a three-round total of 916 (+52).
ASU junior Emilie Geury, who carried a one-shot lead into the final round, carded a six-over 78 and narrowly missed capturing her first college title. She finished one shot back of Joanna Coe of Rollins, who booked a one-over 73 and a 54-hole total of eight-over 224.
Geury was one of three Lady Jags to finish in the top 29. Sophomores Tamara Luccioli and Sarah Mooney tied for sixth and 10th respectively. Senior Kristen Bragg, who recorded ASU’s best round of the day, a three-over 75, and junior Anna Lindeborg tied for 32nd.
Cincinnati, Nova Southeastern and James Madison rounded out the top five in the team standings.
The tournament marked the end of ASU’s fall schedule. The Lady Jags open their Spring, 2008 slate in the Papa John’s Collegiate Championship on Feb. 17 at Don Shula Golf Club in Miami Lakes, Fla.
