Lady Jags Alter Spring Schedule
ASU women's golf to open season in SunTrust Lady Gator Invite

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Augusta State women’s head golf coach Lauren Smith announced Friday a pair of adjustments to the Lady Jaguars’ spring schedule in 2008.

Instead of opening next weekend at the Papa John’s Collegiate Championship in Miami, Fla., ASU will now kick off its spring campaign Feb. 22-24 in the SunTrust Lady Gator Invitational at the University of Florida Golf Course in Gainesville, Fla.

Two weekends later, the Lady Jags will travel to Pinehurst, N.C., to compete in the Pinehurst Challenge, slated for March 9-11 at the fabled Pinehurst Resort No. 8 course. ASU makes its second trip into SEC territory March 14-16 when it tees it up in the LSU/Cleveland Golf Classic at The University Club in Baton Rouge, La.

The Lady Jags then travel to metro-Atlanta for the John Kirk/Lady Panther Intercollegiate, which begins March 31 and is hosted by Georgia State at Eagles Landing Country in Stockbridge, Ga. ASU wraps up its regular season less than a week later when it heads to Wallace, N.C., for the UNCW Lady Seahawk Invitational at River Landing Country Club.
