AUGUSTA, Ga. -- The Augusta State women’s golf team posted a first-round of 323 Sunday in the first round of the Pinehurst Challenge.
The Lady Jaguars are tied for 11th place in the 21-team field. Sophomore Tamara Luccioli led ASU with a five-over 77. Senior Kristen Bragg posted an 80 and Emilie Geury, Anna Lindeborg and Sarah Mooney notched 82, 84 and 85, respectively.
East Tennessee State posted a 307, good for a four-shot lead over Chattanooga. UNC Greensboro, East Carolina and Boise State round out the top five.
Charleston’s Steffi Kirchmayr and Chattanooga’s Christine Wolf are tied for the individual lead at one-over 73.
The second round is scheduled for Monday, with the final round slated for Tuesday.
