PINEHURST, N.C. -- Augusta State carded the low round of the day Monday and moved into fifth place after the second round of the Pinehurst Challenge at Pinehurst No. 8.

Sparked by junior Emilie Geury’s one-under 71, the Lady Jaguars jumped six spots up the leaderboard. Senior Kristen Bragg and and junior Anna Lindeborg turned in a pair of 76’s, sophomore Sarah Mooney booked a 78 and sophomore Tamara Luccioli managed a 79.

East Tennessee State posted a 304 and maintained its four-shot advantage. East Carolina moved into second, followed by UNC Greensboro and Chattanooga in a tie for third. ASU is tied for fifth with Oregon State, four shots behind UNCG and UTC.

Charleston’s Steffi Kirchmayr and East Tennessee State’s Laura Jansone are tied for the individual lead at four-over 148, one shot clear of three players tied for second.

The third and final round will begin with a shotgun start at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday morning.
