STOCKBRIDGE, Ga. -- Augusta State carded a final-round 310 Monday and finished sixth in the John Kirk/Lady Panther Intercollegiate at Eagles Landing Country Club.

The Lady Jaguars, who bested Sunday’s opening round by four shots, missed out on a top-five finish by just one shot and were only two strokes back of fourth place.

Juniors Emilie Geury and Anna Lindeborg paced the Lady Jags with a tie for 17th at nine-over 155. Lindeborg posted ASU’s best round of the day, a two-over 75. Junior Mary Betancourt tied for 31st, sophomore Tamara Luccioli tied for 37thand senior Kristen Bragg tied for 50th.

Host Georgia State captured the team title with a victory over Jacksonville State on the first hole of a playoff. Western Carolina took third, five shots off the pace, while East Tennessee State tallied the best round of the day and took fourth place, one shot clear of Mississippi State.

Mississippi State’s Suzanne Stanley managed a one-over 74 for a 36-hole total of one-over 147 and captured a two-shot victory over East Tennessee State’s Maria Ringdahl and Miami’s Maria Ronderos. Georgia State’s Anna Scott and Jessica Stewart of Miami tied for fourth at four-over 150.

ASU closes out its regular-season schedule on Monday and Tuesday, April 7-8, in the UNCW Lady Seahawk Invitational at River Landing Country Club in Wallace, N.C.
