Lady Jags Set To Kick Off
New-look squad opens 2009-10 season in the Bluegrass State

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- The Augusta State women’s golf team kicks off its 2009-10 season on Friday, Sept. 25 when the Lady Jaguars compete in the Bettie Lou Evans Fall Invitational in Lexington, Ky.

The three-day, 54-hole tournament, hosted by the University of Kentucky at the University Club of Kentucky, will tee off Friday at 8:30 a.m. The field includes ASU, Chattanooga, Coastal Carolina, Florida State, Kennesaw State, Kentucky, Maryland, Miami, Middle Tennessee, Mississippi State, Notre Dame, Redlands Community College, Texas State and Texas Tech.

“We’re anxious to get going and see what we’re capable of,” said ASU second-year head coach Kevin McPherson. “We have several new faces this year, and it will be good to see how they react to their first collegiate tournament experience.”

The Lady Jaguar lineup will include seniors Tamara Luccioli and Sarah Mooney, sophomore Julia Stalbro and freshmen Jordyn Hage and Natalie Wille.

For the first round, ASU will be paired with Middle Tennessee and Texas State. Hage will lead the squad out on the course at 9:20 a.m., followed by Stalbro at 9:30, Luccioli at 9:40, Wille at 9:50 and Mooney at 10:00 a.m.
