ASU Third In Xavier Invite
Freshman Wille paces Lady Jags with one-under 71

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Augusta State posted an 11-over 299 Friday afternoon in the first round of the Xavier Invitational at LPGA International.

Led by freshman Natalie Wille’s one-under 71, ASU is a single stroke back of second place and four shots off the pace set by Daytona State College. Wille is one of two Lady Jaguars in the top 10. Freshman Jordyn Hage is tied for ninth after opening with a two-over 74. Senior Tamara Luccioli posted a four-over 76 and is tied for 20th, while sophomore Julia Stalbro managed a 78 and is tied for 40th. Senior Sarah Mooney signed for an 80 and is tied for 52nd.

Daytona State notched a 295, while Campbell is one shot clear of the Lady Jags. Tournament host Xavier (301) and South Dakota State (303) round out the top five.

Campbell’s Teresa Urquizu and Lamar’s Linda Persson each carded a two-under 70 and are tied for the individual lead. ASU’s Wille and Daytona State’s Mitsuki Katahira are tied for third and one stroke off the lead. Xavier’s Rachel Levi and Campbell’s Sandra Angulo, playing as an individual, are tied for fifth at even-par 72.

The second round is slated for Saturday, with the third and final round set for Sunday, Oct. 11.
