AUGUSTA, Ga. -- The Augusta State women’s golf program, as part of the America’s Choice Mortgage Lady Jaguar Invitational, will host a free junior golf clinic on Saturday, Nov. 4 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at The First Tee, located on Damascus Road.

The clinic is sponsored by Georgia Pain Specialists, LLC, the new presenting sponsor of the Lady Jaguar Invitational.

Participants in the clinic will have a chance to receive individualized instruction from each of the women’s teams in the tournament. The clinic will cover all areas of instruction, with giveaways and prizes from TaylorMade-Adidas and Chick-fil-A. Brusters Real Ice Cream will also be serving ice cream to the participants.

The clinic tees off four days of activities in conjunction with the tournament. A practice round is slated for Sunday morning with a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m. The College-Am (four amateurs and a college player) will begin with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m.

The America’s Choice Mortgage Lady Jaguar Invitational, presented by Georgia Pain Specialists, LLC, is a 36-hole event at Forest Hills Golf Club. Competition begins Monday morning at 9:00 a.m. with tee times off the No. 1 and No. 10 tees. Tuesday’s second and final round will begin at 9:00 a.m. as well with a shotgun start.

Augusta State is looking to defend its team title it captured in 2005 with a 16-shot victory over Notre Dame. ASU’s Lauren Smith claimed medalist honors with a one-shot victory over Notre Dame’s Noriko Nakazaki.
