MORROW, Ga. – Columbus State
advanced to the second round of the
2010 NCAA Southeast Regional Friday
afternoon with a 5-0 victory over
Augusta State at the Laker Courts.
Columbus State, ranked No. 11 in the
nation, improved to 20-5 overall
with the win and advanced to
Saturday’s second round match. The
Lady Cougars will take on the winner
of Clayton State and Georgia College
and State’s first-round match.

ASU Netters Earn Postseason Bids
Women's, men's tennis teams bound
for NCAA Regionals

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Augusta
State’s men’s tennis team earned a
bid to the NCAA postseason,
according to a recent announcement
from the NCAA headquarters in
Indianapolis, Ind.
The No. 19 Jaguars (13-6) are one of
eight Peach Belt Conference programs
in the NCAA’s 64-team field. The
eight PBC teams will play in two
preliminary-round sites in the
Southeast Region; Armstrong Atlantic
State and Columbus State will serve
as hosts.
