Augusta State’s women’s tennis team played in the 2006 Chick-Fil-A Collegiate Tournament this past weekend at the Newman Tennis Center in Augusta, Ga.
ASU’s Sarah Jegat won “Flight 4” singles championship 6-1, 6-1 over North Georgia’s Catie Murphy.
Senior Norma Rovira defeated Veronika Jasenovcova of Clayton State 6-3, 7-5 in “Flight 5” singles championship.
Freshman Fernanda Chiaparini and Rovira downed Clayton State’s Elena Bondari and Veronika Jasenovcova 8-6 in the doubles championship “Flight 2”.
