St. Anthony Abbot

In the Palace of Diocletian, Split, Croatia

St. Anthony is identified by the tau-top staff and bell. As is often the case, the image has a long, full beard.

In the lower right of the niche a small figure of a man with almond-shaped eyes and a round flat-top hat reaches his hand to the shaft of the saint's staff.
