Saint Babilas, Martyr - Third Century

St. Babilas is celebrated in Navarre, under the name San Babil, as the patron saint of those with rheumatism, arthritis, and degenerative osteoarthritis. In the 3rd century he was a bishop of Antioch, where he was martyred along with three Christian youths whom he had educated in the faith -- Urban, Prilidian, and Apolonius.

Feast day: January 24
