ambulatory. Ecclesia wears a crown and her right
hand holds a laver, the footed washbowl prescribed
in Exodus 30:18-19 and referenced in Ephesians
5:26. Her left holds a staff with a cruciform
fitting at the top.
contrast, Synagoga is blindfolded and her crown
has fallen from her head. There is nothing at the
top of her staff. I am not sure what she is
holding in her right hand, but it is probably
intended as a contrast to the laver.
