Roundel 1 from Six Scenes from a Tree of Jesse Window

In this bottom scene, the scroll of the prophet at 11 o’clock reads, “EXGREDIETVR · VIRGA · DE · RADICE · JESSE.”  This is from Isaiah 11:1.

The scroll of the prophet at 1 o’clock reads, “ECCE VIRGO CONIPIET [sic] · PARIET · FILIVM.” The scroll at 7 o’clock reads, “ET VOCABIT NOMEN EIUS” which is continued on the scroll at 5 o’clock by “EMMANUEL."  This is from Isaiah 7:14-15.
