St. Gertrude the Great, Virgin -

Author of several mystical works, including the Legatus
Divinae
Pietatis and the Exercitia spiritualia (cache), St.
Gertrude was the first person to urge devotion to the Sacred Heart
of Jesus. She was abbess of the Cistercian abbey of Helfta, in
Eisleben, Germany and is therefore represented in her habit and
with a crozier and a burning or shining heart on her breast.
Feast day: November 15
