BergognoneThe angels form a
mandorla as they lift the Virgin. The crowning (by angels, rather than
by Christ) and the arrival in Heaven are simultaneous. The twelve
apostles are shown without attributes, but the two in the foreground
seem to be John (left, with just the beginning of a moustache and
goatee, not a beard like the others) and Peter (balding from the crown).
