The man offering food to the right of Daniel is the prophet Habakkuk. The story of Daniel in the lions' den is told not only in Daniel 6 (cached) but in a later chapter that appears only in the Greek text. In the latter, God sends Habakkuk to feed Daniel during his seven days in the den. See Vulgate Daniel 14:32-39 (cached).
