This is the upper portion of the altarpiece, with Anne and Joachim at the Golden Gate in the center, framed by a Jesse tree. The Virgin and Child sit above, flanked by Ecclesia (left, holding a chalice) and Synagoga (right, blindfolded and holding the tablets of the law).
