

The Sagrada Familia
was Antoni Gaudí's
master work, still very incomplete when he died in 1926. Coming to the
project in 1987, Subirachs used a strongly angular adaptation of the
neo-Gothic style of Gaudí's Nativity
Portal, evocative of the decade of the 1980s but at the same time
just
as firmly rooted in medieval iconography and spirituality.
