As in the Last
Judgment painting in the
church of St. Nicholas nearby, this treatment of the Psychostasy
(weighing of souls) involved St. Michael (second figure to the right of
the opened tomb) frustrating the intention of the devils to pull down
one of the scales. Unfortunately, the scales and some other smaller
elements in the composition have broken off.
