The inscription reads "HIC CUNCTIS VITE PASTOR DAT
DOGMATE SANCTE. SANCTE
PRECOR PASTOR PRO NOBIS ESTO
ROGATOR." The first
sentence means, "Here Pastor gives the holy teachings of life to all."
The
second sentence means, "O St. Pastor, I pray that you be our
intercessor."
