St. Praxedes

The inscription reads "
OCCVRRIT SPONSO PRAXEDIS LVMINE CLARO. NOS  PIA PRAXEDIS PRECE SANCTAS CUM FER AD EDIS." The first sentence means, "Praxedes goes to her spouse with her lamp bright" a reference to the parable of the wise and foolish virgins in Matthew 25:1-13 (cached). The second sentence means, "O pious St. Praxedes, with your prayers lead [us] to the Temple."
