37] Þu gebræddest mine stæpas under me, þæt mine fet ne slideredon.
38(36)] Persequar inimicos meos, et conprehandam illos, et non convertar donec deficiant; 39] adfligam illos, nec potuerunt stare.
38] Ic ehte minra feonda, and ic hie gefeng, and ic ne geswac ær hie forwurdon. 39] Ic hie gebigde þæt hie ne mihton gestandan ongean me,
Cadent subtus pedes meos. 40(37)] Et precinxisti me virtute ad bellum.
Ac feollon under mine fet. 40] Þu me begyrdest mid mægenum and mid cræftum to wige.
(38)] Subplantasti omnes insurgentes in me subtus me. 41] Et inimicorum meorum dedisti michi dorsum, et hodientes me disperdidisti.
Þu gedydest me underþeodde þa þe wið me upparison, 41] and minra feonda bæc þu onwendest to me, and me hine gesealdest, and þu tostenctest þa þe me hatedon.
42(39)] Clamaverunt, nec erat qui salvos faceret, ad Dominum, nec exaudivit eos.
42] Hy clypodon, and næs þara þe hig gehælde. Hy clypodon to heora godum, and hy noldon gehyran.
43(40)] Et comminuam illos ut pulverem ante faciem venti, ut lutum platearum delebo eos.
43] Forþam ic hi todælde swa smæle and swa swa dust beforan winde, and hi adilgode swa swa wind deð dust on herestrætum.
44(41)] Eripies me de contradictionibus populi; constitues me in caput gentium.
44] Gefriða me, Drihten, wið þises folces unhyrsumnesse, forþam þu me gesettest him to heafde and eac oðrum ðeodum.
45(42)] Populus quem non cognovit servivit michi; ab auditu auris obedivit michi.
45] And þæt folc me þeowode þæt ic næfre ne cuðe. Hy onhyldan heora earan to minum wordum and gehyrdon me.
46(43)] Filii alieni mentiti sunt michi; filii alieni inveteraverunt, et claudicaverunt a semitis suis.
46] Ac þa ælþeodgan bearn me oft lugon, and þeah hi forealdedon on minum ðeowdome, hy healtodan on heora wegum, forþam hi hyra willum ne heoldon Iudea æ.
47(44)] Vivit Dominus, et benedictus Deus meus, et exaltetur Deus salutis mee;
47] Min Drihten leofað symle, and he byð symle gebletsad, and he is upahafen Drihten, min hælend.
48(45)] Deus qui das vindictam michi et subdidisti populos sub me;
48] Þu eart soð God, þu þe me sealdest þæt ic meahte swylc wite don minum feondum, and me swylc folc underþydest.
(46)] Liberator meus Dominus de gentibus iracundis; 49] et ab insurgentibus in me exaltabis me; a viro iniquo eripies me.
Þu eart min alysend fram þam þeodum ðe wið me yrsiað, 49] and me uppahefst ofer ða þe arison wið me, and fram þam unrihtwisan were þu me alysdest.
50(47)] Propterea confitebor tibi in populis, Domine, et in nomini tuo psalmum dicam.
50] Forþam ic ðe andette, Drihten, beforan folcum, and on þinum naman ic singe sealmas.
51(48)] Magnificans salutare regis ipsius, et faciens misericordiam christo suo David et semini eius usque in seculum.
51] Gemycla nu and gemonigfealda þa hælo þæs cynges ðe ðu gesettest ofer folcum, and do mildheortnesse þinum gesmyredan Davide and his cynne on ecnesse.
