Psalm 25

David sang þisne fif and twentigoðan sealm be his unscyldignesse wið his sunu, and wið his geþeahteras þe hine on woh lærdan. And eac he witgode on þam sealme be þære unscyldignesse Israela folces wið Asirie, þa hi hy læddan on hæftnyd to Babilonia. And eac swa ylce ælc rihtwis man þe hine singð, he hine singð be him sylfum, and be þam þe hine unscyldigne dreccað. And swa dyde eac Crist be Iudeum.

PROPHETA DE SE TESTATUR

1(1)] Iudica me, Domine, quoniam ego in innocentia mea ingressus sum, et in Domino sperans non infirmabor. 1] Dem me, Drihten, forþam ic eom unscyldig wið þas mine fynd. And ic hopige to Drihtne, and ic ne weorðe forþi geuntrumod.
2(2)] Proba me, Domine, et tempta me; ure renes meos et cor meum. 2] Fanda min, Drihten, and smea mine geþohtas.
3(3)] Quoniam misericordia tua ante oculos meos est, et conplacui in veritate tua. 3] Forþan þin mildheortnes ys beforan minum eagum, and ic symle tilode mid rihtwisnesse þe and him to licianne.
4(4)] Non sedi cum concilio vanitatis, et cum iniqua gerentibus non introibo. 4] Ne sæt ic na on þære samnunge idelra manna and unnytra, ne ic ineode on þæt geþeaht unrihtwyrcendra.
5(5)] Odivi congregationem malignorum, et cum impiis non sedebo. 5] Ac ic hatode þa gesamnunge unrihtwisra, forþam ic næfre ne teolade sittan on anum willan mid þam arleasum,
6(6)] Lavabo inter innocentes manus meas, et circuibo altare tuum, Domine, 6] Ac ic wilnode symle þæt ic aðwoge mine handa betwuh þam unscæððigum, þæt is þæt ic wære unscyldig betwuh him, þæt ic meahte hweorfan ymb þinne þone halgan alter, Drihten.
7(7)] Ut audiam vocem laudis tue, ut enarrem universa mirabilia tua. 7] And þær gehyran þa stemne þines lofes, and þæt ic mæge cyþan eall þin wundru.
8(8)] Domine, dilexi decorem domus tue, et locum tabernaculi glorie tue. 8] Drihten, ic lufode þone wlite þines huses, and þa stowe þines wuldorfæstan temples.
9(9)] Ne perdas cum impiis animam meam, et cum viris sanguinum vitam meam, 10] in quorum manibus iniquitates sunt. 9] Ac ne forleos mine sawle on gemang þam arleasum, ne min lif betwuh þam manslagum, 10] þæra handa and þæra weorc syndon fulle unrihtwisnesse.
