Psalm 27

David sang þisne seofon and twentigoþan sealm. On þæm sealme he wæs cleopiende to Drihtne; wilnode þæt he hine arette and gefriðode wiþ eallum earfoðum, ægðer ge modes ge lichaman, and wið ealle his fynd gescylde, ge wið gesewene ge wið ungesewene. And eac Ezechias on þam ylcan sealme hine gebæd þæt hine God alysde, ægðer ge æt his mettrumnesse ge æt his feondum, swa he þa dyde. And þæs ylcan wilnað ælc þæra þe hine singð, oþþe for hine sylfne oððe for oþerne. And swa ylce dyde Crist þa þa he þysne sealm sang.

VOX CHRISTI AD PATREM DE IUDAEIS

1(1)] Ad te, Domine, clamabo. Deus meus, ne sileas a me, et ero similis descendentibus in lacum. 1] To þe ic hopige, Drihten, min God. Ne swuga, ac dem and miltsa me. Gif þu swa ne dest, þonne beo ic gelicost þam þe afylð on pytt.
2(2)] Exaudi, Domine, vocem deprecationis mee dum oro ad te, et dum extollo manus meas ad templum sanctum tuum. 2] Ac gehyr þa stemne mines gebedes, forþam ic nu to þe clypige, and mine handa upp hebbe to þinum þam halgan temple.
3(3)] Ne simul tradas me cum peccatoribus, et cum operantibus iniquitatem ne perdas me, 3] Ne syle me ne ne send mid þam synfullan, and mid þam unrihtwyrcendum ne forleos me,
(4)] Cum his qui locuntur pacem cum proximo suo mala autem sunt in cordibus eorum. Ne me ne fordo mid þam þe luflice sprecað to heora nyhstum and habbað þeah facn on heora heortan.
4(5)] Da illis secundum opera eorum, et secundum nequitiam studiorum ipsorum retribue illis. 4] Ic wat þæt þu sylst him edlean be heora gewyrhtum, and æfter þam unrihte þe hi an swincað þu heom gyldest.
(6)] Redde retributionem eorum ipsis, 5] quoniam non intellexerunt in opera Domini, et in opera manuum eius non considerant. Ðu heom sylst edlean, 5] forþam hy ne ongitað þin weorc, ne þa ne geseoð.
(7)] Destrue illos, nec edificabis eos. 6] Benedictus Dominus, quoniam exaudivit vocem deprecationis mee. Þu hi towyrpst and hi eft getimbrast. 6] Gebletsod sy Drihten, forþam þe he gehyrde þa stemne mines gebedes.
7(8)] Dominus adiutor meus et protector meus, et in ipso speravit cor meum, et adiutus sum, et refloruit caro mea, et ex voluntate mea confitebor illi. 7] Drihten is min fultumend and min gescyldend. On hine gehyht min heorte, and he me gefultumað.
8(9)] Dominus fortitudo plebis sue, et protector salutarium christi sui est. 8] Drihten is strengo his folces, and gescyldend þære hælo his gesmyredan.
9(10)] Salvum fac populum tuum, Domine, et benedic hereditati tue, et rege eos, et extolle illos usque in seculum. 9] Gehæl, Drihten, þin folc, and gebletsa þin yrfeland, and gerece þa þe þæron eardiað, and hi uppahefe on ecnesse.
