How do I apply for direct deposit?
To apply for direct deposit, simply complete the attached Direct Deposit Authorization Form and return it to the Payroll Office, along with a void check for the account to which your paycheck should be deposited. On the following pay period, a pre-note will be initiated.
What is a pre-note?
A pre-note is a wire transaction
in which your name, social security number, checking/savings account
number and bank routing number are
verified with your banking institution. A pre-note is required on all new
direct deposit requests in order to authorize the posting of direct deposits to
your account.
After I sign up, when does direct deposit start?
Once the pre-note is verified (usually the first pay period following application), direct deposit will begin with the next scheduled pay period.
What if I think my net pay is incorrect?
If you have any questions concerning your pay, please contact the Payroll Department as soon as possible.
What happens when payday falls on a holiday?
If a payday falls on either a
banking holiday or
How do I change financial institutions or account after I am on direct deposit?
If you open a new account, simply fill out a new Direct Deposit Authorization Form and provide a void check from your new bank account and return it to the Payroll Office. A new pre-note will be initiated for the following pay period. Once verified, direct deposit should resume on the following payday.
