National Student Employment Week
On college campuses across the nation, there is a particular group of students who often go unrecognized. Some of these students spend 25 hours per week on campus – in addition to the hours they spend in classes. They are the ones who cover our offices during lunch time. They run errands for us, even if it means walking to the other side of campus. They are our “go to” people, when we need something done that we are unable to do ourselves. Most of all, they make our jobs easier and our campus a wonderful place to work. THEY are our student employees. In 1989, the National Association for Student Employment Administrators decided it was time to recognize these students. The Association designated the second week of April as National Student Employment Week.
