Today, more and more individuals understand that every financial decision they make impacts their overall financial position and their ability to achieve their goals. Many of these individuals also recognize the growing complexity of the financial choices that they face. These individuals are turning to financial planning professionals to assist them in achieving their overall financial goals.

Financial planning professionals should have expertise in areas such as: retirement planning, investment planning, tax planning, insurance planning, estate planning, and overall financial planning. Augusta State University has two programs which are designed to provide students with knowledge in these important financial planning areas.

Augusta State University offers two programs to satisfy the educational requirements necessary to sit for the CFP® Certification Examination.

  • Bachelor of Business Administration - Finance with a concentration in Financial Planning.
  • CFP® Certification Education Program

 

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the trademarks CFP ® , Certified Financial Planner™ and Certified Financial Planner ® in the U.S., which it awards to individual who successfully complete CFP Board's initial and ongoing certification requirements.

Augusta State University does not certify individuals to use the CFP ® , Certified Financial Planner™ and  marks.  CFP ® certification is granted solely by Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. to individuals who, in addition to completing an educational requirement such as this CFP Board-Registered Program, have met ethics, experience and examination requirements.
