Information Session on Summer REU Opportunity at Princeton - October 11, 2012
On Thursday, Oct. 11, Dr. Jannette Carey, Professor of Chemistry at Princeton University, will be on campus to discuss a summer REU (research experience for undergraduates) program currently being offered at Princeton University in the field of Molecular Biophysics. Students who are selected will participate in interdisciplinary research in biology with a faculty mentor at Princeton, and will be able to apply for a follow-up summer research opportunity to be held in the Czech Republic. Selected students will receive a stipend, plus all expenses (housing, travel, research) will be covered. This NSF-funded opportunity is open to students majoring in chemistry, physics or math (but not biology). There is an emphasis on recruiting freshmen and sophomores, but it is not restricted to those.
This event will be held at 2pm in SCI E-1047. Put it on your calendar. Hope to see you there.
