LEADERSHIP ADVISORY COMMITTEE

The Educational Leadership Advisory Council was formed in spring 2004 in order for leadership professors to network with and receive feedback from school and central office administrators in regards to the leadership programs at ASU. Eleven members currently serving on the Advisory Council will remain on the Council though spring 2006. At that time, another group of school leaders will be invited to serve for the next two years.

Eventual plans include asking council members to serve as resource persons to practica/internship students either at their school site or on campus at least once per semester. Additional functions of the Council are being structured and discussed, and include some of the following issues:

  1. Act as co-facilitators with leadership professors in presenting CSRA workshops on various timely educational issues.
  2. Aid in designing and monitoring leadership surveys seeking feedback regarding program improvement from former ASU students who now serve in leadership positions.
  3. Support and serve on various leadership search committees
  4. Participate as a guest in ASU-sponsored activities (i.e. Ruby Payne workshop, PDK activities, etc.)
