| Required MBA Courses:
Each MBA candidate must take ten breadth courses (30 semester credit
hours) as follows:

ACCT 6300 - Accounting Systems for Managerial Control (3 sem hrs)
| This is a case-oriented course designed to teach the effective use
of accounting systems and accounting data in organizational planning and
control. Prerequisite: Graduate (MBA) student status, ACCT 4999 and
FINC 3400 or equivalent courses. Syllabus |

ECON 6800 - National and International Economics for Managers (3
sem hrs)
| This course demonstrates how economic theory is applied to national
and international managerial decision-making. The course covers topics
such as demand analysis, production and cost functions, market structure,
managerial understanding of public policy, and international finance. Case
studies are drawn from domestic and global circumstances. Ordinarily, the
course also involves a business simulation game in which teams of students
compete against one another in a global market. Prerequisite: Graduate
(MBA) student status, ACCT 4999, ECON 4999, FINC 3400, and MATH 3110 or

FINC 6400 - Managerial Finance (3 sem hrs)
| This course is designed to give the student the basic knowledge concerning
the financial function of modern organizations. Cases will be used to enable
the student to apply the basic knowledge. Prerequisites: Graduate

MGMT 6510 - Societal Issues in Business Decisions (3 sem hrs)
| To be taken within the first two semesters of enrollment. An examination
of the interrelationships between business and society from a managerial
perspective. The decision implications of ethics, the natural environment,
and stakeholder diversity are addressed from an applications standpoint.
Prerequisite: Graduate (MBA) student status and MGMT 3500 or equivalent.

MGMT 6520 - Management of Human Resources (3 sem hrs)
| A comprehensive survey of the typical personnel management decisions
faced by managers, including accepted contemporary practice relative to
job analysis, EEO regulations, selection, development, discipline, discharge,
appraisal, compensation, benefits, and global human resource issues.
Prerequisite: Graduate (MBA) student status and MGMT 3500 or equivalent.

MGMT 6580 - Strategic Management (3 sem hrs)
| This course gives the student an opportunity to develop and appreciate
conceptual skills as needed by higher level managers in all types of organizations.
Emphasis is given to the integration of subject matter from all business
courses and other disciplines in the discussion and analysis of organizational
problems. Comprehensive analyses of organizations in a wide variety of
situations are conducted. Should be taken within the last two semesters
of enrollment. Prerequisites: Graduate (MBA) student status, successful
completion of at least seven 6000-level MBA courses (including ACCT 6300,
FINC 6400, MGMT 6520, MKTG 6700, QUAN 6600, and QUAN 6610), and permission

MINF 6620 - Management of Information Technology (3 sem hrs)
| A broad examination of information technology strategies and operational
issues from a managerial point of view, emphasizing the leadership role
of the manager. Strategic uses of information systems for competitive advantage.
Strategies for deployment of information technology. Cross-functional organizational
issues; relationships with vendors and consultants; requests-for-proposals
and contracts. Hardware, software, and communications concepts for the
manager. Related ethical, organizational, and behavioral issues.

MKTG 6700 - Marketing Management (3 sem hrs)
| Advanced study of the rationale for the marketing functions and the
application of the managerial functions to marketing problems and opportunities.
Prerequisite: Graduate (MBA) student status and MKTG 3700 or equivalent.

QUAN 6600 - Applied Business Research (3 sem hrs)
| To be taken early in the program. The purpose of business research
is to assist managers in making more informed and responsible decisions.
The basic intention of this course is to sharpen critical thinking processes
by studying and applying scientific methods to problem solving. Major topics
include problem identification, research designs, data collection methods,
sample design, data analysis and interpretation, report preparation and
the ethics of business research. Prerequisites: Graduate (MBA) student

QUAN 6610 - Designing, Managing, and Improving Operations (3 sem hrs)
| This course will provide students with the tools to quantitatively
study business problems. The students will learn to organize their thoughts
such that the best available data can be used to generate optimum solutions
to problems. Production management, design of experiments, and statistical
quality control will be emphasized. Prerequisite: Graduate (MBA)

| MBA Elective Courses:
Each student is required to take two three-semester-hour graduate business
administration elective courses to complete the program. |
