Fields of Communications

Communication Studies

Communication Studies focuses mostly upon non-mediated, personal communication with self, one-on-one communication with another, small group interaction, public speaking, organizational communication, intercultural communication, political communication, and the full rhetorical tradition. We refine spoken, written, and nonverbal ways to discover information, relate to one another, help people, persuade others, and enjoy yourself.

Theatre

Acting is a skill that can be taught and sharpened with proper training. We can prepare you for a career in theatre- both on the stage and behind it. You can learn to act, direct, and write for the stage. And you can learn to design and build sets and to design light and sound. Most importantly, you can have the opportunity to develop your skills in front of live audiences on our stages. If you have desire, determination and a strong work ethic, you can do all this in the Theatre track.
