Population: ASU students and staff/faculty

Location: ASU Main Campus, Boykin Wright Hall, 1st Floor Quadrangle

Office Hours: Monday, Tuesday 8:00 - 6:00 pm
                       (Between semesters and summer semester, office open until 4:30 pm these days.)
                      Wednesday - Friday 8:00 - 4:30 pm

                       Interns will coordinate work hours with their supervisor.

Eligibility:  Graduate students must be enrolled at Augusta State University in the Counselor Education program or Psychology program.

Class Presentations: Counseling & Testing provides Myers-Briggs administration and interpretation classes to all ASUO 1000 courses, some undergraduate & graduate level psychology courses and a graduate level career counseling class each semester.

Awareness & Prevention Programming & Outreach:  The Counseling Center participates in alcohol & other drug awareness week activities & programming, national depression screening day, sexual assault awareness programming and world AIDS day activities.  Various other programs are presented in the CSRA at local schools, churches, businesses & civic groups.

Testing & Disability Services: The Coordinator for Testing and Disability Services' office is located in the Quadrangle, next to Fanning Hall (Business Office). The Coordinator provides services to students with learning, emotional and physical disabilities and coordinates the major tests given on campus such as the College Placement Exam, the Regent's Test, PRAXIS, MAT, SAT, MCAT, LSAT, ACT, GRE (subject only), legislative exams, achievement tests, exit exams, and CLEP.
 

Supervision:  Graduate interns will be supervised by State licensed and nationally certified counselors.  Interns will have opportunities to perform individual counseling, group counseling (if available that semester), conduct seminars, teach classes and other activities depending upon the intern's interests and the Center's needs during the internship semester.
