College Juniors or Seniors who have earned a minimum overall grade point average of 3.0 based on a 4.0 scale (including all courses taken) and who have been accepted for enrollment into an approved teacher education program in Georgia leading to initial certification.

  • HOPE Teacher Scholarship

Georgia's HOPE Teacher Scholarship Program provides forgivable loans to individuals seeking advanced education degrees in critical shortage fields of study.  You simply replay your loan by teaching in a Georgia public school classroom after earning your advanced degree.

"The scholarship applications are judged on academic excellence, school and community involvement, communication skills and recommendations. Each scholarship is a one-time cash award of $1,000, payable to the recipient's college or university."
