Chapter 0189

The Augusta State University Student Council for Exceptional Children (SCEC) is a club for future educators and other ASU students interested in working with people with disabilities.  It is affiliated with the International Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) located in Reston, Va.

Are you interested in Special Education?  If so, the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) is the organization that you need to join.

The 2005 Mixer was great!  Thank all of you who attended, brought food, and provided portfolios to be shared with others.  It was a great opportunity to get to know one another.  We would also like to thank all of you that helped set up and clean up for the Mixer.

Keep checking for pictures to be added to this site.

Service Projects

We are working to arrange a service project with Mossy Creek Elementary.  This is a newly opened school in Aiken County and they are in need of books on tape.  These books on tape are to be used for struggling readers.  Look for more information to follow.

Tammie will have sign-up list and a select number of books to choose from on September 22, 2005 at the meeting.
