Augusta State University
Alcohol Awareness

Welcome

The purpose of the Alcohol and Drug Policy is to uphold local, state and federal laws and to help create a safer campus.  Augusta State University prohibits the unlawful possession, use, or distribution of illicit drugs and alcohol.  Effective April 1, 1991, the serving or consumption of alcoholic beverages by all students, employees, alumni, and guests on the ASU campus (which includes the Physical Education/Athletic Complex or PE/AC) was prohibited at all events/functions that are university affiliated, and any activity sponsored by organizations associated with ASU except by prior approval of the President.  Individuals and groups are accountable for their choices and behavior.  Campus advertising of products and services related to alcohol is prohibited (see Vendor Policy).  ASU is considered a Drug Free Campus and Workplace.
