Choice Voice

Choice Voice is a magazine published by the Freshman English Academic Unit to encourage and bring recognition to good student writing. The magazine features freshman essays judged as the best in the categories of reflection, exposition, persuasion, and literary interpretation. Both process-written and extemporaneous essays are published. Choice Voice-published essays have been reprinted through St. Martin’s Press and the Augusta Magazine.

Outstanding English 1102 library research papers may be entered in the Choice Voice contest for the Goldburg Award. Thanks to an endowment established by the family of Rabbi Goldburg, an annual cash prize will go to the student writing the best 1102 research paper. The winning essay and “honorable mention” essays will be published in Choice Voice.
