Freshman English Academic Unit

The Freshman English Academic Unit is committed to providing students with the best possible writing instruction through a required two-course composition sequence: "English 1101: College Composition I" and "English 1102: College Composition II."

English 1101 focuses on writing in a variety of contexts, with particular emphasis on narrative, exposition, analysis, argumentation, and research skills.

English 1102 is a literature-based composition course that focuses on the interpretation, analysis, and evaluation of literature and advanced writing and research methods.
