Federal Pell Grant

How is my eligibility for Pell Grant determined?
Eligibility for the Pell Grant is determined by your FAFSA application. The U.S. Department of Education uses a formula established by Congress to determine your Expected Family Contribution (EFC). Your EFC determines your Pell eligibility.

The amount of my Pell Grant is different from what was on my award letter and/or Elroy. Why?
Pell Grant amounts on your award letter and/or Elroy are based on full-time enrollment (12 hours or more). If your enrollment is less than full-time, your Pell Grant will adjust accordingly. Also, corrections made to your FAFSA as a result of the verification process may cause your Pell Grant award to change.
