Satisfactory Academic Progress
Satisfactory Academic Progress, also known as SAP, is a measurement of your GPA and Pace (rate of progression). The US Department of Education requires all colleges and universities to develop and implement policies by which academic progress is evaluated and monitored. Students must meet satisfactory academic progess standards at the end of each semester in order to continue receiving Title IV financial aid and state funded aid. SAP requires a student to proceed in a positive manner toward fulfilling his/her graduation requirements. It necessitates progression in both GPA and Pace.
Our Satisfactory Academic Progress Standards below outline the SAP process in great detail. Students are strongly encouraged to read these standards.
