Michael Katterjohn

Part time instructor

 

Michael A. Katterjohn has been playing percussion for 40 years. He has been teaching percussion at ASU for the past 10 years. In addition, he taught band at Davidson Fine Arts School for 10 years and is currently teaching at Greenbrier High School.

Mr. Katterjohn has played with the Augusta Symphony, Augusta Choral Society and the Augusta Opera as well as numerous churches in the area. He plays drum set weekly for his church in Evans, Georgia.

Mr. Katterjohn also has three arrangements published through Genevox Publishing Co. for church orchestra: Worship Chorales, Praise to the Lord Almighty, and Christ the Lord is Risen Today. He has done extensive arranging for marching bands, drum lines and concert bands. In addition to writing music, he wrote the percussion chapter for the book, The Instrumental Resource For Church and School, published by Lifeway Church Resources.
