University College Connections
All students admitted to University College must seek permission from the Vice President for Student Services to live at University Village. All University College students who are granted permission to live at University Village are required to participate in the University College Connections program. This program is designed specifically to assist University College students transition to college life.
Research shows that students who participate in living learning programs tend to have successful college experiences. Participating students learn to make better, informed decisions toward life experiences and academic success. Students also learn to relate to peers from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
With support from UV Connections advisors and peer mentors, students are able to bypass many challenges typically faced by new students. Trained advisors are available to provide guidance in nearly every facet of college life. By participating in one of the three connection programs, students will build a support network of classmates who live in student housing, take classes together, and have unique social events.
